i am sick to death of this rebuttal when i say i can't   choose not to do something...'but it's only $10.00' (or $5.00, or $20.00, or whatever).

what i feel like saying is- quit spending my money for me you jackass!!!!

but i don't, because i'm polite (generally). so...here's a little list of the things that are only "$____" and what that cheap little thing adds up to in a years time.
cabs- $10 one way for me to downtown ($520 twice/mo for a year)
netflix- $12.97 for 1 disc ($155.64)
myfooddiary.com- $9.50/mo membership ($114)
internet- $50/mo ($600)
happy hour- $20 for a moderate night ($1040 once/wk for a year)
fancy coffee- $4.25 ($221/1 a week for a year)
sirius satellite radio- $14.20/mo ($170.40)

so the short of it is that these things, over a year really add up....$2821.04
not so cheap now is it?!? spendy pants!

an okay cave

you remember this dress? well i wanted it. badly, but abstained from purchase. i know, pat me on the back, would ya?!

so yesterday i got online and had an email from my old friends at anthropologie telling me there were a bunch of new sale items i should check out. i'm sure they think something bad has happened to me because it's been so long. like i'm trapped in my basement, or stuck with a broken ankle alone in the wilderness. that is more believable than that i quit shopping. alas, i'm alive and well.

anyway-the dress. so it was on sale and so, i bought it (with a gift card). i got it in the purple instead of the salmon. i ended up paying $69.95 for a $129.00 dress! whoo hoo

i want this. i really, really want this. really bad. it's days like this i freaking hate doing this. ugh!!! it's going to take everything i have to not walk over there on my lunch break and get this. think about it....tshirts, tanks, belted, flats, heels....the opportunities for this little diddy are endless. i may have to save up my spending money. july could be the month of the skirt.

i need a second job-just for shopping money to buy this skirt....in every color.

folks-we've got a problem. i need this dress. it would cost me $96.00 (because my darling friend brooke works for anthro and they are allowed 1 friend to reap the benefit and she chose me...a girl after my own heart). i have a $102.61 gift certificate from some returns i made earlier this month.

but something is holding me back. i feel like i should probably hold on to that cash for gifts or something-but man o man. i don't think i have ever gone a month without buying myself something new. it's annoying. super annoying.

beautimous, free people

i had a momentary lapse of good judgment this weekend and binged on some free people items. in my defense-one of the items is a total replica of the dress my mom wore in her 1980 senior pictures, so i am planning something totally fantastic with that!

this identical dress my mom wore is amazing and timeless

the other two items were just because they are adorable and i happened upon them. i guess this is what happens when you shop from bed on a saturday after too many cocktails on friday night.

and these booties are simply amazing

my gf tara got some great things too! i was in total cart envy when she sent me her list. she has such a great sense of style...i envy her look for sure. check out my faves of her stuff.

i have a terrible shopping problem. i've gotten over it. come to terms with it. decided to embrace it.

this jacket from anthro is just way to cute-over a maxi with a decent clog-i'm in. all in.
